You've got more to offer than you realise.
What if the things you've spent years doing for other people could become the foundation of something of your own?
You've spent years solving problems, sharing your knowledge, supporting other people and helping them move forward.
What if you started putting all that experience to work for yourself?
Your knowledge could become a programme. Your experience could become intellectual property. The problems you've learned to solve could become the basis of a service, consultancy or business.
You don't need to copy someone else's business model or follow another formula.
You could build something around what you know, what you care about and the difference you want to make.
What if your next big thing is already hiding in everything you've learned?
What if you could see your life differently?
You remember the events. The jobs. The relationships. The challenges. The things that worked out and the things that didn't.
But when you're in the middle of living your life, you rarely see how the pieces connect.
Sometimes it takes looking backwards to understand what has been taking shape all along.
Paid to Be You takes you on a guided journey through the life you've already lived.
You'll explore the experiences, challenges, relationships, achievements and moments that have shaped you.
You'll begin to recognise the patterns, strengths, knowledge and wisdom you've gathered along the way.
And suddenly, things start to make sense.
You don't need another qualification. You need to recognise what you've already got.
How it works
- 01
Revisit the life you've lived.
Choose a decade. Childhood, your twenties, your forties or right now.
Guided questions help you remember the experiences, decisions, challenges and moments that shaped you. Start wherever you like. There's no right or wrong way to do it.
- 02
Join the dots.
Explore what each experience taught you, what it gave you and how it changed you.
Capture the lessons, feelings, skills and knowledge you've gathered. Some things might feel significant. Others might seem completely ordinary.
You might be surprised by what you find.
- 03
Discover your golden thread.
This is where the pieces start to connect.
The patterns you couldn't see while you were living them. The strengths you've taken for granted. The things you've always cared about. The problems you understand because you've lived them.
And the possibilities that begin to emerge when you see your experience through a different lens.
Your past starts to make sense. Your next chapter starts to take shape.
What could you discover?
You might discover the foundations of a business.
You might recognise expertise you could turn into intellectual property, a programme, a service or a book.
You might find the common thread connecting all those ideas you've never quite known what to do with.
You might recognise the purpose behind the work you've always been drawn to.
Or you might simply see yourself, and everything you have to offer, in a completely different light.
There's no prescribed destination. The point is to discover what's already there, and decide what you want to do with it.
Because your purpose isn't necessarily something waiting for you somewhere in the future.
It may be something you begin to recognise when you finally understand the life you've already lived.
You don't need an extraordinary story to have something extraordinary to offer.
Some of the most valuable things you know won't feel remarkable to you.
They're in the problems you've solved, the mistakes you've learned from, the people you've helped and the moments that changed how you see the world.
When you've lived something, it's easy to forget how much it took to get through it, or how much someone else could learn from what you know.
And you don't have to share everything to discover what's there.
Some chapters are complicated. Some are painful. Some are yours to keep.
This is your experience to explore, privately and at your own pace. Skip anything you're not ready to revisit. Start wherever feels right.
Your story doesn't have to be extraordinary for what you've learned to make an extraordinary difference.

A little about me
Hi, I'm Kezia.
Positive Psychologist, entrepreneur, author, speaker and a woman who's reinvented herself more times than I can count.
I've spent much of my career exploring what makes people tick, how our experiences shape the stories we tell ourselves, and how those stories become beliefs that can either expand or limit what's possible.
From speaking to thousands of women around the world to mapping 19,000 employee relationships across hundreds of organisations, I've always been fascinated by the connections that shape who we are and what we're capable of.
But I've also learned that sometimes the biggest thing standing between us and our potential isn't a lack of ability, experience or opportunity. It's the story we've come to believe about ourselves.
And I know that from experience.
When I walked away from a tech business I'd co-founded, I knew I had decades of experience behind me. But I couldn't see what came next.
So I went backwards.
I started looking at my life differently. The experiences that had shaped me. The beliefs I'd formed. The things I'd always cared about. The common threads connecting seemingly unrelated chapters.
And I realised something.
I didn't need to start again. I needed to understand what my life had been preparing me for.
That became the inspiration for Paid to Be You.
Because what if the story you've been telling yourself about your life is only one version of it?
What if, by joining the dots, you could see your experiences, your potential and your possibilities in an entirely different way?
